Aaron Gordon’s parents are Eddy Gordon and Shelly Davis Gordon. His dad played basketball at San Diego State, before signing as an NFL free agent with the New England Patriots as a tight end. Aaron has an older brother, Drew Gordon, who played college basketball at New Mexico and UCLA. Drew is a professional basketball player in Europe. He has played in France, Italy and Turkey. His sister, Elisabeth Gordon, played college basketball at Harvard.

Aaron Gordon began his career at Archbishop Mitty High School in San José. He led his team to two CIF Division II state titles. He was twice named California Mr. Basketball. Gordon joined the University of Arizona in 2013. He was named MVP of the McDonald’s All-American Game that year. After one season at Arizona, he declared for the NBA draft in 2014.

Orlando Magic (2014-2021)

Gordon was selected fourth overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2014 NBA draft. He showed steady progress, participating notably in the Slam Dunk Contest. He put in several remarkable performances, including a triple-double and a personal-best 38 points against the Brooklyn Nets. In 2021, he has requested a transfer.

Denver Nuggets (2021-present)
