The Golden State Warriors are one of the oldest and most successful franchises in NBA history. Here are some of the legendary players who helped shape it.

Wilt Chamberlain

Before becoming an NBA legend, Wilt Chamberlain began his career with the Warriors while they were still based in Philadelphia. He was named Rookie of the Year and MVP in his first season. He went on to set numerous records, including 100 points scored in a single game.

Rick Barry

Rick Barry played for the Warriors in the 1960s and 1970s. This winger was one of the top scorers in franchise history. He led the Warriors to the 1975 championship and was voted Finals MVP.

Chris Mullin

A member of the famous “Run TMC”, Chris Mullin was known for his three-point shooting and overall shooting ability. He was selected for the All-Star Game five times as a member of the Warriors. His number 17 was retired by the franchise.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is the most iconic player in the recent history of the Golden State Warriors. He revolutionized the game with his incredible long-range shooting ability. A four-time NBA champion and two-time regular-season MVP, Curry has been the face of the Warriors dynasty.

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 and played an important role in the two NBA championship titles won in 2017 and 2018. He was named Finals MVP each time and left an indelible mark in San Francisco.

Nate Thurmond

Nate Thurmond was one of the best pivots of his era and a mainstay of the Warriors in the 1960s and 1970s. He was selected for the All-Star Game seven times. His number 42 has been retired by the franchise.

Tim Hardaway

A member of the “Run TMC”, Tim Hardaway was famous for his “Killer Crossover” and explosive offensive game. He was a three-time All-Star with the Warriors.

Baron Davis

Baron Davis was the figurehead of the “We Believe” Warriors, who achieved a historic feat by eliminating the Dallas Mavericks, the best team of the regular season, in the first round of the 2007 playoffs.
