Jordan Miller is the son of Jeffery and Donna. He has three older brothers: Jeffery Jr., Justyn and Jovon. Jovon played basketball at Ferrum College.

Youth and high school career

Originally from Middleburg, Virginia, Miller shone at Loudoun Valley High School. He was named Class AAAA Player of the Year in Virginia, leading his team to a state title.

University career

Miller started at George Mason, becoming a starter in the second half of the season despite an initial redshirt intention. He recorded 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds as a sophomore. As a junior, he averaged 15.8 points, being named to the All-Atlantic 10 third team.
Transferred to Miami, Miller averaged 10.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in his freshman season. Using an extra year of eligibility, he shone in his fifth year with 15.3 points and 6.2 rebounds on average, leading him to be named to the All-ACC second team. His perfect game against Texas in the Elite Eight remains historic.

Professional career
