Youth and high school
Brandon Miller attended Cane Ridge High School. He was named Tennessee’s Gatorade Player of the Year after shining during his junior and senior seasons. Miller participated in the Jordan Brand Classic and McDonald’s All-American Game. Considered a five-star recruit, Miller committed to Alabama. He had received his first scholarship offer from Tennessee State. Miller also considered playing professionally in Australia or for the G League Ignite.
NCAA
At Alabama, Miller was named to watch lists for the Naismith Player of the Year and Julius Erving Award in his first season. He set a record for an Alabama freshman with 41 points against South Carolina. Miller finished the season as SEC Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-Conference First Team.

The Charlotte Hornets selected Miller with the second overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft. In his NBA debut, he scored 13 points against the Atlanta Hawks. Miller matched his career high with 29 points against the New York Knicks, then surpassed it with 35 points against the Indiana Pacers.
