Valencia Basket is the fourth Iberian team to take part in the Euroleague. In the hierarchy of Spanish clubs, it ranks fourth. This is behind Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Baskonia. Valencia won its first major title, the Eurocup, in 2003. The following season, its first appearance in the Euroleague was impressive. The club came within one win of qualifying for the Final Four! After that, the club lived between the Eurocup and the Euroleague until today. Valencia Basket won its first Spanish championship in 2017. And it did so by beating Real Madrid in the final! French playmaker Antoine Diot was part of the triumphant team’s squad at the time.

Valencia, located on the east coast of Spain, is a city rich in history, culture and modernity. Between its sunny beaches, architectural heritage and famous cuisine, Valencia offers a variety of attractions to suit all tastes.

The City of Arts and Sciences is a futuristic architectural complex designed by Santiago Calatrava. Valencia Cathedral and the Miguelete Tower are two other tourist attractions. They offer panoramic views of the city. In addition, the Turia Gardens is a green space stretching over 9 km. The Marquis de Dos Aguas Palace is a splendid Baroque mansion housing the National Ceramics Museum. The Valencia Museum of Fine Arts boasts an impressive collection of works of art, including works by famous Valencian painters. The Bioparc is an innovative zoo designed around the concept of “zoo-immersion”, where barriers are almost invisible. In terms of gastronomy, horchata is a typical sweet drink, accompanied by “fartons” in one of the city’s many establishments. Valencia is also the birthplace of paella.
