Biography of Donta Hall

Donta Hall is an American basketball player playing in the Euroleague at the pivot position. He was born on August 7, 1997 in Luverne, Alabama (USA). His height is 2m08. He currently plays for the AS Monaco Basket.


Donta Hall’s parents are Mary and Donald Hall. Donta is an only child. Sadly, his father died when he was 13. Donald Hall suffered a heart attack while Donta was at a baseball game. It was after this tragic event that Donta Hall threw himself wholeheartedly into basketball.

Successive clubs

Donta Hall played for Luverne High School in Alabama. He distinguished himself among the best players in his region. Then he committed to the University of Alabama in the NCAA.

Hall then began his professional basketball career in the G-League. His first experience was with the Grand Rapids Drive in 2019. Following his strong performances, the Detroit Pistons offered him a 10-day contract in 2020. This was followed by another precarious NBA contract, this time with the Brooklyn Nets. Donta Hall went on to play in the G-League and NBA for Toronto. In April 2021, he played for the Orlando Magic, signing for the remainder of the season. Hall then joined AS Monaco Basket in the summer of 2021.
