Real Madrid is Europe’s most successful basketball club. It was founded in March 1931. Real Madrid’s domination of Spanish basketball began with 30 Spanish championship titles. The club also achieved a series of seven and then ten consecutive titles. They also hold the record for most King’s Cup victories. Real Madrid’s European success story began in the 1960s and 70s. Despite a difficult start in the European Cup due to political restrictions at the time, the club reached the final for the first time in 1962. Since the early 2010s, Real Madrid’s basketball section has been back on top. The White House won the Euroleague in 2015. And this after being unfortunate finalists in 2013 and 2014. Real lifted the supreme continental trophy again in 2018 and 2023.
